Dermot is the Managing Director of Star Technical Solutions, the consultancy arm of Star Refrigeration.

Star Technical Solutions provide refrigeration and heat pump consultancy services to the commercial and industrial refrigeration sectors.

Dermot's work includes advising end users with the phase out of high GWP refrigerants, safety compliance, energy surveys, heating and cooling feasibility studies, tender specifications, Expert Witness and carries out Technical Due Diligence on insulated envelopes and refrigeration systems. His current contributes to industry; he is a Director of the Cold Chain Federation, Director of ACRIB and is on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Refrigeration.
