I entered the industry back in 1989 with Refrigeration Bournemouth Ltd and over the next 20 years worked for various companies within industry doing various types of work from making bespoke refrigerated cabinets with Drake Refrigeration onto working on large industrial Ammonia systems for over 10 years, with a couple of years being self employed mixed in and my final year in industry working on a contract for Whitbreads. I then got into the Further Education training sector working for a college after my old lecturer Hugh Hawkins contacted me about a job. I moved to City of Portsmouth College 2 years ago on a part-time contract whilst working to develop and start Meridian training centre in Dorset, which has now been running for over 18 months and doing well.
