Ray Gluckman is Director of Gluckman Consulting – a technical consultancy specialising in refrigeration and climate change. Ray has an engineering degree from Cambridge University. He has worked as a consultant since 1978 for major consultancies including W. S. Atkins, Enviros, SKM and Jacobs. Ray’s work relates to energy efficiency and climate change issues. He has been responsible for numerous energy efficiency projects in most industrial and commercial sectors. His area of special expertise relates to refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pumps. Ray is an authority on reducing emissions of the powerful “F-Gases” (HFCs, PFCs and SF6). He has worked on F-Gas emission reduction projects since 1995, carrying out many important studies for a wide range of clients including national governments and the European Commission. He was involved in the development of the 2006 and 2014 EU F-Gas Regulations. He is a technical advisor to the UN Ozone Secretariat. Ray was President of the Institute of Refrigeration in 1995 and 1996. He received the Cooling Industry Gold Award in 2011.
